SUMMARY:Broomfield Trail Adventure
DESCRIPTION:The 25th annual Broomfield Trail Adventure (BTA) will be held on National Trails Day\, June 6\, 2026\, at Broomfield County Commons at the Main Pavilion (13200 Sheridan Blvd). This milestone event celebrates local trails and how getting outdoors can promote community health\, quality of life\, and connection. There will be interpretive tables\, light refreshments\, music\, and information about opportunities to volunteer with the City and County of Broomfield or join other community organizations doing great work. For example\, the Broomfield Open Space Foundation will have a table with Colorado native perennials. These hardy\, drought‑tolerant plants are grown by board members to support local pollinators. The BTA will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Routes are designed to showcase trails throughout Broomfield County Commons Open Space and to highlight features such as Tom Frost Reservoir\, public art\, and the recently acquired Miller property! Information tables will open at 7:30 a.m.\, and a prize drawing will take place shortly after the routes are completed\, around 9:00 a.m.The event will also kick off the 2026 Broomfield 100\, a community challenge promoting healthy living and outdoor exercise on local and lesser-known trails\, running from June 6 to September 19. We hope to see you there!

SUMMARY:65 Years of Broomfield
DESCRIPTION:Join us on June 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Crescent Grange to celebrate 65 years of the City of Broomfield with a special program honoring the legacy of Broomfield’s first and longest standing City Manager George Di Ciero presented by his son\, Mark Di Ciero. Mark graduated from Broomfield High School in 1989 and the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1993. Mark moved from Broomfield to Las Vegas\, Nevada\, in 1997\, where he hosted a morning radio show for nearly twenty years before moving into family law at The Abrams & Mayo Law Firm in Las Vegas as an advanced certified paralegal. Mark comes “home” for this special program highlighting his father’s four decades leading Broomfield and the significant events and important people\, places\, and spirit that shaped our community during that time. \nBroomfield became a City in June of 1961. Just a few short years prior\, fewer than 200 people lived in Broomfield. Discover the fascinating history of the development and growth of Broomfield Heights—a suburb “as perfect as men can conceive”–leading up to the incorporation of the City.  Presented by Tina Eichner\, Editor of Our Broomfield\, and David Allison\, History and Museum Coordinator\, this session will showcase the people\, places\, and spirit of the advent of Broomfield as a suburb.
